eSTATE PLANNING
A sound estate plan is your last opportunity to say “I love you” to those who matter most in your life. It enables you to provide a clearly defined, structured path to accomplish your goals and to appoint the best person to perform that job for the sake of all concerned.
All the time, we hear people say I just need a “simple will” but as we listen a wide variety of nuances, such as second marriages, children and grandchildren with diverse needs, small business transition issues, inheritances, real estate holdings, difficult family dynamics, and sometimes tax issues arise that require special attention. Additionally, planning for end-of-life issues that we often avoid can take center stage.
No one wants to pay more for such services than necessary. We get that. On the other hand, failure to address issues in a well thought out manner often leads to bitter disputes within families and significant costs that could easily have been avoided for a far smaller investment. Let us help you to make prudent investments in your estate plan that will pay dividends for those you love well after you have passed.

Estate Planning Intro Video
As I have aged, so has my clientele. As a result, estate and end of life planning have become not just an increasing aspect of my law practice, but a reality for me personally as well as for my friends and family. Having a sound estate and end of life plan is truly your last opportunity to say “I love you” to those who matter most in your life. Sadly, all too often we fail in this regard, leaving a mess for those we care most about. My job is to listen to you, to find out what your desires are, so that I can help you ferret out all of the issues and empower you to make a prudent investment in an estate and end of life plan that achieves your objectives, even after you have passed away.

Estate Mediation Video
I understand intimately the difficulty that families can have dealing with one another to resolve the financial and other issues that arise when a loved one dies or needs assistance as they near the end of their life. Courts are not designed to resolve such family issues. They are designed to render legal decisions. Mediation, while generally not required in probate court as it is in the civil and family courts, offers families an opportunity to resolve their disputes themselves in a manner that is far superior to that which the legal system offers. My job as a mediator is not to decide your dispute for you, but rather to listen closely to all concerned and facilitate a constructive process that empowers your family to pull your family’s issues out of the legal system to fashion a solution that meets your family’s unique needs. Often, warring families are pleasantly surprised to find that they can reach an amicable agreement that preserves familial relations intact in ways that they could not imagine, strengthening the family as a unit so that the family is better equipped to successfully face future challenges as they arise. If you would like to learn more about my mediation services to those who are dealing with estate and end of life issues, please give me a call. I am pleased to help.
